This CD contains 15 teaching resources, based on a farm theme.

All resources are in pdf format unless stated otherwise.  

Animal and their Babies – Matching Cards

A set of 8 cards (4 on an A4 page) each showing an animal and their baby. Simply cut each card into two and ask the children to match the pairs up. The cards also show the name of each animal in Primary Sassoon font. 

Animal Tracks Cards

Whose feet leave a track like this? Find out with this set of 10 cards (up to 3 on an A4 page) showing different tracks and the name of the animal that makes them. 

Beehive Number Line

Each card shows a numeral from 0 –10 (in Primary Sassoon font), a beehive and the corresponding amount of bees. The cards could be used to order numerals, count numbers to 10, find the card that has one more/less bee etc. 

Cow Lotto

A game for up to 4 players. Give each child one of the A4 boards and ask them to count how many cows are in each of the four sections. Hold up each of the numeral cards, asking children to call for if it if they need it. Continue until the children have covered all of the spaces on their board. The game uses numbers from 1 – 8. 

Duck Numbers

A colourful set of number cards showing numerals 1 – 9 on a duck picture. There are two cards on an A4 page. 

Farm Alphabet Cards

Make a colourful display with this set of 26 A5 cards. Each card shows an farm related object for a letter of the alphabet e.g ‘a is for apple tree’, ‘b is for barn’ etc. For ‘x’ I have used a picture of a fox. 

Farm Area Labels

Label areas of a role play area or encourage the children to ride to different places on the bikes and scooters with these colourful tags. Each one is just over A5 size and shows a picture of each place with its name written in Comic Sans font. The areas are ‘Pigsty’, ‘Barn’, ‘Beehive’, ‘Duck Pond’, ‘Hen House’ and ‘Cow Shed’. 

Farm Dominoes

A set of 36 dominoes (8 on an A4 page) featuring images of 6 different farm animals.  

Farm List 

An A4 sheet with a bright farm border. Inside the border there is the question ‘Can you write a list?’ and 7 lines for the children to write on.

Farm Shop Role Play Area Pack

Set up a role play area based on a farm show with these signs and labels. There are two A4 posters reading ‘Friendly Farm Shop’ and ‘Pick Your Own’, A5 open and closed signs, four character badges and 12 price cards for different types of farm produce. 

Farm Vocabulary Cards

A set of 15 cards (3 on an A4 page) showing words and pictures of things associated with a farm. 

Farm Animal Cards

A set of 10 A5 cards showing names and pictures for different farm animals. 

Scarecrow Numbers

Create an attractive number line with these 16 cards showing scarecrows labelled with numerals from 0 – 15. 

Tractor Alphabet

Each card shows a red tractor and a letter of the alphabet in upper and lower case. There are 6 cards on an A4 sheet. 

Tractor Key Word Bingo

3 sets of key word bingo that together cover all of the 45 Reception High Frequency Words. Each set consists of 6 A5 cards showing a tractor picture and 3 words.

Also included on the CD is all the software needed to view the resources e.g. Adobe Reader.
