 This CD contains 10 role play packs.

Garden Centre

Create an exciting new role play area, perfect for the summer term. The resources in this pack focus on a garden centre and cafe.

There are 8 price cards showing different plants and 8 vocabulary cards showing equipment used in a garden centre. Encourage children to take on a specific role with 6 badges with titles such as 'cashier' and 'customer'. Also included is an A4 garden centre sign, two A5 opening times cards, an open/closed sign and shopping list template.

To create the cafe, there is an A4 sign, order pad templates and an A4 menu card.

Post Office

These resources would be perfect for transforming the writing area into a post office.

Included are 14 illustrated vocabulary cards (4 on an A4 page) showing the following terms - postman, postwoman, post bike, post van, stamp, envelopes, letter, post box, stamper, scales, card, postcard, post hat and bag and parcel.

There is also an A4 'Post Office' sign and an A4 sign showing opening times.

Encourage the children to mark make with an A4 postcard template or design their own stamp using the supplied activity sheet.

Baker’s Shop

This resource consists of 30 A5 illustrated cards. These colourful cards include 10 price cards showing types of bread & cakes, 10 cards showing baking activities (e.g. ice, knead, weigh, roll) and 10 vocabulary cards showing objects used by a baker.

Also included is an A4 customer order sheet and A5 ingredients list to be used in the role play area. 

Car Wash and Petrol Station 

Use these signs to add environmental print to a car wash or garage role play. 8 A5 cards show key vocabulary – bucket, sponge, bubbles, car, till, rollers, nozzle and pump. An A4 sign for ‘Petrol Station and Car Wash", an A4 list of car wash services and two A5 petrol price signs complete the set. 

Ice Cream Shop 

Create a great new role play area with these colourful signs and cards. This role play would work well as part of a topic on 'Holidays'.

Included are 9 price cards (3 on an A4 page), 12 vocabulary cards (also 3 on an A4 page), two A5 shop signs and 6 speech bubbles showing key phrases that a seller or customer might say.

The font used is primary sassoon. 

Wedding 

A set of 21 vocabulary cards to set up a wedding themed role play area with. Also included is an A4 guest list template, A4 reception menu writing frame and A5 wedding invite frames. 

Pizza Restaurant and Delivery 

A great collection of posters, vocabulary cards and menu cards to set up a pizza themed role play area. There are over 25 cards in the pack, ready for you to print and laminate.

Encourage the children to take on the role of a pizza chef, delivery person or customer. This role play would work well in the outdoor area, using the bikes and scooters as delivery vehicles. 

Witches' Den

Everything you need for a spooky witches' den. 

This pack contains:

a witches' den sign

two colourful posters warning of witches and wizards

9 vocabulary cards (3 on an A4 page)

Construction

 Add some environmental print to the construction area with these signs, labels and vocabulary cards. There are 24 cards in total, including 12 A5 cards showing different pieces of equipment and 4 A4 posters. 

I would recommend laminating the cards with 2cm of blank laminate around the edges to make them more durable.

Archaeology 

Come and be an archaeologist in the digging area. There are badges to print out, vocabulary cards showing the tools you may need and forms to record important finds. 

All resources are in pdf format. 

 Also included on the CD is all the software needed to view the resources e.g. Adobe Reader.
