This resource is a 30 page Word Document containing long term plans for the EYFS.  They are written with a Reception class in mind, but could very easily be adapted for a Nursery class or Daycare setting.

There are 6 A4 pages offering an overview for each area of learning, setting out the principles on which medium and short term planning will be based.  Each page begins "We believe it is important to . . ." and then has a list of statements.  Each statement is referenced to show the key EYFS commitments it relates to.

Also included are 12 continuous provision plans for different classroom areas - Construction, Creative, ICT, Investigation, Literacy, Malleable Materials, Maths, Music, Outdoor Play, Role Play, Snack and Writing.

Each plan is 2 A4 pages long and contains:

• a brief description of how the area is used to promote each key commitment
• related ELGs
• adult role
• look, listen, note,
• possible learning experiences
• key vocabulary
• key resources
• key questions
• related profile points

As the planning is in Word format, it is easy to edit to meet the needs of your setting.
