This resource is a PowerPoint presentation, designed to be used with the whole class on the fourth day of Set One in Phase Two of the Letters and Sounds programme.

It is split into four colour coded sections - revisit and review, teach, practise and apply.  There are also slides to show the learning objectives being covered at different points in the session.

There are opportunities for the children to;

 practise oral blending,

recap previously learnt sounds,

recap previuosly learnt tricky words - 'I',

 learn a new sound - 'p',

learn how to blend CVC words using sound buttons,

segment CVC words and make them using magnetic letters as part of the 'full circle' game,

suggest a caption for the adult to model writing (pots and pans).
