This resource is a PowerPoint presentation, designed to be used with the whole class on the second day of Set One in Phase Two of the Letters and Sounds programme.

It is split into four colour coded sections - revisit and review, teach, practise and apply.  There are also slides to show the learning objectives being covered at different points in the session.

There are opportunities for the children to;

 practise oral blending,

recap the 's' sound,

learn a new sound - 'a',

learn how to blend CVC words using sound buttons,

identify words that start with 's' or 'a',

read a simple caption.
