This resource is a PowerPoint presentation, designed to be used with the whole class on the fifth day of Set Two in Phase Two of the Letters and Sounds programme.

It is split into four colour coded sections - revisit and review, teach, practise and apply.  There are also slides to show the learning objectives being covered at different points in the session.

There are opportunities for the children to;

 practise blending CVC words,

practise recognising all graphemes learnt so far in a game of "Sound Tennis",

practise reading the tricky words 'I' and 'the',

learn to read the high frequency word 'and',

practise reading the high frequency words 'is', 'it', 'in' and 'at',

practise reading CVC words in a game of "Buried Treasure",

read a simple caption.
