This resource is a PowerPoint presentation, designed to be used with the whole class on the third day of Set Two in Phase Two of the Letters and Sounds programme.

It is split into four colour coded sections - revisit and review, teach, practise and apply.  There are also slides to show the learning objectives being covered at different points in the session.

There are opportunities for the children to;

 practise segmenting words,

practise writing all graphemes learnt so far,

learn a new sound - 'm' and see it used to spell CVC words,

practise reading CVC words in a game of "What's in the Box?",

read a caption together with an adult.
