An original resource designed to help children link sounds to the letters that represent them.  Included are 42 colour coded cards showing each of the sounds introduced in the Jolly Phonics programme.

The cards can be used to play the popular "sound buttons" game.  Ask the children to press the 'buttons' in turn, saying the sound that each one makes.  Can they blend the sounds to read the word?

The cards could also be used to create a phonics display.

I have colour coded the cards into groups based on the Jolly Phonics.

Group 1 (green) - s, a, t, i, p, n

Group 2 (yellow) - c, k, e, h, r, m, d

Group 3 (blue) - g, o, u, l, f, b

Group 4 (red) - ai, j, oa, ie, ee, or

Group 5 (orange) - z, w, ng, v, oo

Group 6 (purple) - y, x, ch, sh, th

Group 7 (grey) - qu, ou, oi, ue, er, ar
