This resource is a PowerPoint presentation, designed to be used with the whole class on the eighth day of Phase Five of the Letters and Sounds programme.

It is split into four colour coded sections - recap, teach, practise and apply.  There are also slides to show the learning objectives being covered at different points in the session.

There are opportunities for the children to;

recap previously learnt Phase 5 graphemes,

recap writing words with adjacent consonants,

recap spelling the tricky words 'said', 'like', 'have' and 'so',

learn a new another way to pronounce the grapheme- 'ue',

practise adding sound buttons and reading words containing 'ue'

reading a sentence including a word containing 'ue'.
